The bottle in review comes from barrel 17A11 5G.6. I’m continuing to be impressed with the whiskey Mile High Spirits continues to put out and look forward to what additional years in the barrels do to their whiskey. Mile High Spirits may have stumbled upon a way to cheat time: using malted rye. This is a unique tasting bourbon that will scratch the itch of those looking for a spicy whiskey but don’t want to necessarily pour a more traditional spicy rye whiskey. Ending on a chocolatey spice note, the finish is lingering, riding a nice dose of spice. The palate brings in spice and chocolate notes and adds in drier flavors of oak and leather, which produces a nice concoction of spicy dry flavors. An extra year of aging continues to enhance what can best be described as “one unique sip.” The sip starts with an undeniable dose of Red Hots candy scent that mingles with light toasted oak and chocolate. 6 products Mile High Spirits Fireside Bottled in Bond 44.99 Coming Soon Mile High Spirits Fireside Bourbon 30.00 Coming Soon Mile High Spirits Fireside Peach 30.00 Mile High Spirits Summit Gin 19.99 Mile High Spirits Denver Dry Gin 20.00 Mile High Spirits Elevate Vodka 20. Mile High Spirits currently produces Fireside Whisky, Elevate Vodka, Denver Dry Gin and Pegleg Rum, and the distillery is known for its top quality ingredients like organic non-GMO corn and pure Rocky Mountain water.Mile High Spirits is based out of Denver, Colorado, and goes by the motto, “We take our spirits seriously, but not ourselves.” During my visit there, I found it to be a fun quirky space that puts out some really unique tasting whiskey. Called Punching Mule, the delicious ready-to-drink beverage is already available all over Colorado, and plans are in the works to bring it to the rest of the country over the next five years.Īside from the Moscow Mule, Mile High Spirits serves up plenty of other fresh and unique cocktails in its tasting room. That’s right, Mile High Spirits has become the first company in the United States (and maybe the world?) to launch a Moscow Mule in a can. Mile High Spirits is known for making Denver’s best version of the classic cocktail, and as of this fall you can now take its top offering home with you. Unless youre working on the distillery side, no real room for advancement as a bartender. While the fun atmosphere keeps everyone happy, they’re really all there for one thing: the Moscow Mules. See what employees say its like to work at Mile High Spirits. Essentially, Mile High Spirits took the same vibe they were offering before in their original location and expanded on it a short distance away. Weather permitting, picnic tables and yard games will keep guests entertained day and night in the warmer months. We partner with Casa Maestri, who ship their 110-proof double-distilled Blanco. There’s also a juke box, a pool table, TVs and plenty of options for lounging. Cuidado is our imported tequila from a family distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. The tasting room’s atmosphere is industrial-chic with a large bar, state-of-the-art sound system and huge patio where you’ll often find some of the city’s most delicious food trucks. It’s right in the heart of downtown Denver, only a short walk from Coors Field and many other area attractions. The new tasting room, located just seven blocks away from the original location, is over 4,000 square feet large, a whopping 2,200 square feet larger than before. With Denver’s craft distilling industry booming, this fall was quite a busy time for the local business, which just opened up a brand new tasting room and launched an exciting new product that’s sure to be a crowd favorite. When Mile High Spirits’ tasting room opened in Denver in 2012, the owners’ goal was to welcome locals and visitors alike to try his small batch, hand crafted spirits in a welcoming atmosphere accessible to all. The local distillery recently opened a new tasting room and launched a unique new drink: Moscow mule in a can.
